I did an art search for House of Mysteries (a comic series I read) and nothing pertaining to the comic came up. Granted, seeing as that it started last year and is only on the second volume, I didn't expect many results, and I didn't expect the results to be good, but I thought SOMETHING would come up. So I googled it. Nothing.

So since I'm apparently the only one who reads it, nay, has heard of it, I'm raising awareness.

It isn't the best comic series in the world, but it is quite entertaining. The entire concept is what really draws me. See, at the cross-roads between several dimmensions there's this house (The House of Mysteries). Inside the house there is a bar. Anyone who can find their way to the house (usually by accident) is welcome, and the first drink's on the house. Most people can come and go as they please, but a select few (once there) cannot leave of their own free will (this is the core of the main stoyline). The people who are stuck in the house run the bar. Since the people who run the bar are stuck in the house they don't need money, so customers pay their tabs with stories. This is the nifty part. The authors of the main story have guest authors and artists create the stories of the bar's customers, so within the main storyline their are breaks into unrelated side-stories with severely different themes, artwork and writing styles. That's what I like about it. Like most comics worth reading, there's lots of sex and violence, but you can get past it.

So spread the word people, maybe pick up a copy. Like I said, it's not mind-blowing, but it's worth reading.

Also, look into Fables. Classic Fairytales stranded in modern-day New York. Part Grimm's tales, part crime show, all kick-ass awsome. This did not get it's own journal, though, because people have actually heard of it.

Much Love,
Ragweed

Quotes That Rock:
-"I'd rather be a could-be, if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might-have-been has never been, but a "has" was once an are." -Brainy Squirrel

"Listen to the mustn'ts, child, Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the Shouldn'ts, The impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, Then listen close to me- Anything can happen, child, Anything can be." -Shel Silverstein

Thanks for the fave, dude :)

Just read your journal, too much Monty Python is never a bad thing :D There needs to be more silliness in the world! lol

Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent
Yes, normally. However, having the "Camelot" song stuck in ones head whilst tending to small childrenis not necessarily a good thing.

Exactly. Monty Python-while fabulous-is a dangerous thing.
